Very Surreal Birthday

Another sad day in the world. I'm rather at a loss for words, yet again. Sort of makes a birthday memorable - but certainly in the wrong way. But, don't let a thing like this stop you from enjoying your life.

A terrible state we find ourselves in when things like Las Vegas happens so often that it is difficult to keep up with the horror. I agree - we can't it stop us from enjoying life. I hope you and yours are doing well, bro. Wishing you all the best. Hugs, Licks, and Strokes, AOM

Dreadful event in Las Vegas! Great post as always! One day is much like any other in my world these days.

Well Happy Birthday to you dear! I wish it was under better circumstances though. I am very slowly starting to have a real problem rooting for humans. I'm trying to stay positive, but if a was a higher power, I would be considering pulling the plug real soon.

Trump observed a minute's silence in remembrance of the victims of the Vegas mass shooting. Regrettably, I am afraid (in fact, nearly sure), that that will not have been sufficient for making him understand the dangers of the freedom of carrying weapons. Who the heck, except DT, will have the gall to say that everything goes well because the victims had the same right for defending themselves than the right that the murderer utilized to kill them? Certainly not me, that would be an insult to the victims. I can only express my condolences, in the waiting of the next time.
In the meanwhile, (the later the better), I send you all my love, hugs and bisous, my darlings Jean and Pat.

Happy Birthday!! Since we share the same date, I hope you were able to enjoy your Day too, even with the grim news today. A reason to be thankful. Hugs and bisous to my dear French Patrick.

In our family we stopped celebrating birthdays a long time ago. We not religious either. We just dont put any importance on it.

The other stuff; seriously there is a lesson there. If that lesson is missed or not taken seriously then it might be time to consider moving to another country where the lives of its citizens are actually valued higher. A 3rd Party response is not good enough (hotels, POI, public spaces installing heavy security measures). Common business practice will see 3rd Party do that anyway.

Other countries it took one instance of this happening for changes to be made. If nothing happens then what does it take??

Very tragic indeed.

Well, 538 has a good statistical analysis. Feel free to read it.

You don't want to hear my opinion. That the token brown guy actually thinks the gun control people are blind to their own white privilege? (Exhibit A, this "worst massacre in US history" where most of the victims were white.)
